ToolForge

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

1. Who we are

ToolForge (“we,” “us”) is a free tools platform operated as a lead-generation and advertising-supported service. When this policy says “Site” it means toolforge.dev and all pages served from it.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide. When you use a tool, we store the inputs you submit and the results we generate so you can revisit or share them via a unique link. If you enter your email to receive a report or request a quote, we store your email, name (if provided), and message in our leads database.

Automatically collected data. We record anonymized usage events (tool views, completions, shares) to understand which tools are useful. We use Vercel Analytics for page-level performance metrics. If you accept cookies, Google AdSense may collect device and browsing data to serve relevant ads — see Section 5.

3. How we use your information

  • To run the tool you requested and display your results.
  • To generate a shareable result link.
  • To send you a report or quote if you opted in via email.
  • To notify our team about new leads so we can follow up.
  • To understand aggregate tool usage and improve the platform.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers that power the Site: Vercel (hosting), a PostgreSQL provider (database), Resend (transactional email), and Google (PageSpeed Insights API for the audit tool, AdSense for advertising). Each provider processes data under their own privacy policy and only as needed to deliver the service.

5. Cookies & advertising

The Site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. When you first visit the Site, personalized advertising cookies are not loaded until you click “Accept” on the consent banner. If you decline, only non-personalized ads (or no ads) are shown.

You can also opt out of personalized advertising at any time through Google Ads Settings or the DAA opt-out page.

6. Data retention

Tool results and usage events are retained indefinitely to keep shareable links working. Lead records (email, name, message) are retained until you ask us to delete them.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing us via the Contact page. If you’re in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to object to or restrict processing and to data portability under the GDPR.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in managed, encrypted databases. Admin access is authenticated and restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures proportional to the sensitivity of the data we process.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted; the “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
